Comcast Opens Charleston Center of Excellence

More than 550 new customer care and technical support employees will work at the company’s new $21.4 million, 80,000 square-foot facility in South Carolina.

Comcast, the largest broadcasting and cable provider in the world according to revenue, opened the company’s new Center of Excellence in North Charleston, S.C. The $21.4 million, 80,000-square-foot building will provide work for approximately 550 customer care and technical support employees. Comcast’s new Center of Excellence is part of a 2,000-acre mixed-use development consisting of office, retail, hotel and residential properties.

Located at 3450 Ingleside Blvd., alongside Interstate 26 in the Ingleside Plantation development, the facility is 14 miles from downtown North Charleston and an 18-minute drive from the 841stTrans Battalion. Comcast Senior Vice President of Military and Veteran Affairs and Brigadier General (Ret.) Carol Eggert signed the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Statement, a commitment to the National Guard and Reserve. “We are grateful for their service and dedication, and will continue to build our employee base with these brave men and women in Charleston and across the nation,” said Eggert in a prepared statement…
