Best Western Takes Over Las Vegas’ Stratosphere and Aquarius Hotels

The giant hotel operator closed the largest deal in Best Western’s 70-year history. The company now owns the tallest structure in Las Vegas and a 1,906-key hotel.

The Stratosphere Casino, Hotel and Tower and the Aquarius Casino Resort will now be part of Best Western’s soft brand, BW Premier Collection. The integration of the assets owned by American Casino and Entertainment Properties (ACEP) marks the largest deal ever closed by Best Western.

EXPANDING ITS VEGAS FOOTPRINT

Located at 2000 S. Las Vegas Blvd., Stratosphere opened in 1996 and has served as the tallest structure in Vegas ever since, rising 1,149 feet above the ground. The property includes an observation deck with 360-degree views of the Vegas strip and surrounding areas. The tallest observation tower in the U.S. encompasses a 24-hour casino with several dining options, lounges, two rooftop pools and a recently refurbished race and sportsbook…
