Bank of America’s Gaertner Leaving for German Tech Startup

Christian Gaertner, a managing director at Bank of America Corp. in London, is leaving to join a German technology startup, a spokeswoman for the bank confirmed.

Gaertner, who joined the bank from Goldman Sachs Group Inc. in 2011, will remain in his present role until the end of this month andRELOCATE TO Germany later in the year, the spokeswoman said. Gaertner declined to comment.

Gaertner, head of equity capital markets for Germany, Switzerland and Austria, worked on key deals for Bank of America including Telefonica Deutschland Holding AG’s 1.4 billion euro ($1.6 billion) initial public offering in 2012, Volkswagen AG’s 2 billion euro capital increase last year and private-equity firms KKR & Co. and Permira Advisers selling down their stakes in ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE in 2013 and 2014…
