Asian Stocks Pare Monthly Loss as Yen Rises; China Shares Swing

Asian stocks rallied, trimming their first monthly drop this year, as the yen rebounded from a 12-year low and oil rose. Chinese shares swung between gains and losses after plunging on record turnover on Thursday.

The MSCI Asia Pacific Index climbed for the first time in four days, adding 0.5 percent by 12:23 p.m. in Hong Kong. It is down 0.9 percent this month.
