Skanska to Develop 210 KSF Oslo Office Project

The Sweden-based real estate company plans to complete Parallell, a 16-story building in the city’s largest development area, by the second quarter of 2020.

After selling its shares in Sundtkvartalet, a 103,000-square foot office building in Oslo, Skanska plans to invest roughly $72.7 million to develop Parallell, a 209,900-square-foot office project in Norway’s capital city. Construction will begin immediately and is slated for completion in spring 2020.

The 16-story building is located in Lören, the city’s largest development area, less than two miles from downtown Oslo and close to national roads 150 and 163. Parallell is designed to meet BREEAM-NOR and WELL standards. The Sweden-based developer plans to include a welcome center, a café, outdoor seating, green areas and a restaurant. The ground-level will feature bicycle parking, as well as parking with charging stations for electric cars, while the 14th floor will offer a rooftop terrace…
