WASHINGTON, DC—The General Services Administration awarded nine GSA Leasing Support Services contracts across the country, including two to small businesses.
For this round of contracts, GSA decided on a “zonal approach”. That is, it increased the number of contracts and awarded them by geographic zones instead of nationally.
The zonal approach makes it easier for small businesses to compete for awards, the agency said.
These newly chosen GLSs are expected to generate some 30 million to 40 million square feet in task orders, or $100 million in rent savings. Since the program’s inception (it was formerly called National Broker Contracts), GLS has saved about $250 million in rent for the government…
