CHICAGO—InvenTrust Properties Corp. has made a number of adjustments this year, including a name change, and now the Oak Brook, IL-based firm has a new chief financial officer. Michael E. Podboy, who most recently held the title of chief investment officer, has been appointed executive vice president – chief financial officer, chief investment officer and treasurer. The appointment follows the resignation of Jack Potts as the company’s chief financial officer and treasurer. All actions were effective on November 23.

Podboy has served in his current role since InvenTrust, formerly known as Inland American Real Estate Trust, Inc., initiated its self-management transactions on March 12, 2014. Since 2007, he has taken a leading role in over $10 billion of transactions at InvenTrust, which include platform transactions, property level acquisitions and dispositions, and alternative investments. Prior to joining the company, Podboy, a certified public accountant, was a senior manager in the real estate division for KPMG LLP
