BlackRock Credit Trader Dennis Said to Exit for Liquidnet

BlackRock Inc. corporate bond trader Chris Dennis has left the firm to join electronic execution platform Liquidnet Holdings, according to four people with knowledge of the move.

The senior credit trader will start at Liquidnet next month, said one of the people requesting anonymity because the information isn’t public. Jessica Greaney, a spokeswoman for New York-based BlackRock, and Dennis declined to comment. Melissa Kanter, a spokeswoman for Liquidnet, didn’t immediately have a comment.

Liquidnet runs a trading platform where large investors can buy and sell securities. The New York-based company, which Chief Executive Officer Seth Merrin opened in 2001, expanded into corporate bonds last year by purchasing London-based platform Vega-Chi Ltd…
